D2X is looking for a Junior Trading Operations Specialist to join its office in Amsterdam!

D2X is a regulated crypto derivatives exchange for institutions, based in the Netherlands. In 2024, D2X became the first entity in the EU to receive a MiFID II MTF license authorizing it to list regulated crypto futures and options. Technology at D2X

Digital assets trade round-the-clock, 365 days a year. Therefore, we are constantly seeking the most advanced technology to offer a fast and reliable trading interface. Developing, testing, and optimizing our codebase is the bread and butter of our Engineers.

Trading Operations at D2X

Trading Operations is a team tightly woven into the fibers of D2X. It is the team responsible for operating the market open to close, from orders entering our systems to post-trade settlement; from rigorous system testing to full-stack monitoring of our infrastructure; from onboarding clients to integration with our business partners.

You will be responsible for the quality delivered by the products owned by Trading Operations. You'll be involved in defining the features that come together to make D2X. You are in direct contact with every single person within D2X, helping push features from inception to production delivery.

You will support system monitoring and responding to incidents, managing and improving our monitoring infrastructure, and assisting in technical onboarding with the top trading firms and brokers that make up our customers.

In short, you will be at the center of all processes running at D2X, overseeing the full trading lifecycle and collaborating with our international team to make D2X run smoothly and push the boundaries of what an exchange can offer. It’s an opportunity to build and operate an exchange from the ground up with tons of opportunity to grow.

Please note that this position requires working in shift patterns to cover exchange operation hours, including evenings and weekends.

Your Responsibilities

• Monitor and support our mission-critical production systems and processes, you are part of incident and problem resolution;
• Drive product development and improvement, work closely with development and business teams to make changes to the D2X exchange;
• Adapt to the situation at hand and do whatever it takes to deliver the product;
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with exchange participants and vendors.

Your Skill Set

• Experience in a production support-related role within an exchange, broker, trading firm, vendor or equivalent experience;
• Deep understanding of the trading life cycle, including post-trade processes;
• The ability to rapidly pick up knowledge as the exchange and markets evolve;
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills;
• Proven ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines and challenging constraints;
• Technical proficiency in supporting and maintaining monitoring infrastructure (e.g. experience using and managing Grafana dashboards);
• Ability to work closely with developers on product development and testing;
• Prior experience and comfortability with Linux environments and one or more programming languages is a plus;
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Kafka, and other production infrastructure is a plus;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
