Finance at D2X
As a regulated financial institution, we must always ensure reliable financial reporting. As an early-stage company, we must also ensure the prudential use of capital. The Finance team at D2X will ensure these 2 goals are always met. Managing our finances efficiently is key to supporting the healthy development of D2X. While our day-to-day bookkeeping is outsourced, you will play a key role in coordinating with our administration partner, analyzing financial data, and supporting strategic decision-making with accurate forecasts and reports. You will report directly to the CEO.
What you'll do
- Serve as the point of contact for our external administration firm — providing input and analyzing financial outputs;
- Maintain and update financial forecasts and budgets based on actuals and business developments;
- Prepare management reports, including actuals vs. forecast, cash flow overviews, and key performance indicators;
- Banking & Payments — manage the relationship with our bank, oversee cash management, and coordinate payment runs;
- Taxes & Subsidies — liaise with tax authorities, apply for relevant tax benefits (e.g. Innovation Box, WBSO), and stay on top of new opportunities;
- Manage finance mailboxes and process incoming requests efficiently;
- Generate and send invoices to members; ensure consistency with our administration firm;
- Optimize internal finance and operations processes, e.g. automating invoice generation;
- Support in regulatory reporting, such as DNB filings.
What we are looking for
- Master’s degree in the areas of Economics or Business;
- 1-3 years of relevant working experience;
- Previous experience in the financial services industry and/or a start-up is a plus;
- Eager to assume responsibilities and learn new tasks;
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively;
- Excellent analytical (Excel) skills;
- Excellent command of the English and Dutch languages, both written and verbal;
- Available for 40 hours per week; Open to candidates who are interested in a part-time role as well;
- Self-starter and independent learner excited to work as a part of a high-performing team.
What we offer
- Competitive compensation;
- Stock option plan;
- Gym membership, up to EUR 35;
- A maximum of 27 days of annual leave based on full-time employment;
- Commuting allowance to the office (0.23 EUR/per km, up to 160 EUR per month);
- Energetic, collaborative, and fun work culture;
- Dynamic, international, innovative, and respectful work environment – employees are at the core, we value every individual and encourage initiatives;
- Learning experience in financial markets and digital assets;
- Premium office space with rich amenities in Amsterdam.
