DevOps at D2X
We are looking for a Platform / Linux / Cloud Engineer Intern to join our engineering team and contribute to the core of our infrastructure and trading systems. You’ll work closely with experienced Linux, Cloud and Network engineers as well as Rust developers to design, build, and maintain high-performance systems that underpin D2X’s exchange platform.

You’ll gain exposure to technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Amazon Web Services, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Bazel and Nix. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys systems-level problem solving, wants to understand how complex services run in production, and is eager to learn how infrastructure supports high-performance trading systems.

Your responsibilities

• Work along engineers to deploy, monitor, and maintain business critical systems and services.
• Assist in managing Kubernetes clusters, Helm deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to observability setups (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, etc.) and infrastructure monitoring.
• Help improve developer tooling and automation (scripts, internal services, Bazel, Nix).
• Collaborate on infrastructure-as-code projects to manage AWS configuration (Terraform).
• Learn how to design for reliability, scalability, and security in a cloud environment.
• Participate in team discussions and postmortems, gaining hands-on experience running systems in production.

Your skill set

• Fluent in English.
• Familiarity with Linux-based environments and common Linux tooling.
• Some experience (academic or personal projects) with containers (Docker) or Kubernetes.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (AWS, or Azure).
• Comfortable scripting in Python or Bash for task automation.
• Curiosity about observability, CI/CD, and systems reliability.
• Familiarity with version control systems and CICD pipelines (Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• (optional) Experience (interest) with (in) Helm, Terraform, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• (optional) Experience (interest) with (in) build systems such as Bazel or Nix
