As a Security Operations Engineer, you will report directly to the VP of Engineering Enrico and you’ll be a bridge between our engineering team and our InfoSec Officer Robbe. We have three product teams and one internal tooling team, each playing a critical role in our success, and security is a fundamental part of it. In this high-impact role, you will have the unique opportunity to shape, influence, and drive our security and compliance initiatives across various teams, ensuring that best practices are seamlessly integrated into our delivery processes. As the first person to be fully dedicated to security within the engineering teams, you will be at the forefront of establishing security and compliance throughout the entire development lifecycle, paving the way for your future growth and the expansion of our security operations. What you'll do

• Contribute a security dimension to user stories in the product backlog, ensure secure development lifecycle compliance, and manage the assessment and approval of non-standard changes
  
• Oversee and standardize cloud security, including network segmentation, firewalling, and security groups, and secure access to production infrastructure and customer environments
  
• Maintain and expand the asset inventory, develop and execute procedures for identifying, registering and maintaining assets
  
• Improve and implement the logical access control strategy and periodically, verify the implementation and effectiveness across the environment
  
• Increase visibility and alerting, through intrusion detection and prevention capabilities and a Security Incident and Event Manager
  
• Manage and enforce the incident response plan, ensure systematic incident registration and resolution, and execute root cause analysis for high-impact incidents
  
• Assist in shaping and implementing the Security Strategy as a whole
  
• Establish a strong security base within the Engineering teams, while collaborating and managing priorities with the Internal Tooling team

Who you are:

• You have 5+ years of practical experience in a cloud, architectural or development team with focus on information security
• You have hands-on experience in AWS architecture and best-practices, with security as default mindset
• You have assisted engineering teams in implementing security as part of the development process, and radiate your experience to these teams
• You have experience in secure coding practices, and are capable of educating engineering where necessary
• You have assessed the quality of architectural setups, and are capable of reporting the risk to the organization to management, and treating risk in line with company policies
• You are used to working with compliance frameworks/standards, and have knowledge on relevant regulations
• You have the relevant people skills to maintain stakeholders where necessary
• You’ve demonstrated excellent mentorship and communication skills
