We are looking for an AI Researcher to help us achieve our ambitious goals and make a tangible impact on the future of HR technology. Join us in pushing AI boundaries, shaping the future of work, and making a profound impact.

The Role – As an AI Researcher at TechWolf, you will be a key contributor to our AI research. You closely collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to translate the innovation roadmap into concrete research projects, both for internal use and publication. Reporting directly to the CTO and co-founder Jeroen, this is a unique opportunity to conduct impactful research that directly shapes our product and influences the broader HR Tech field.

What you'll do:

• Execute advanced AI research: Conduct cutting-edge research to advance skill inference technology and other HR-related AI innovations, ensuring that our solutions remain at the forefront of the industry.

• Contribute to technical strategy: Inform and execute TechWolf's technical strategy, aligning research goals with business objectives.

• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product and engineering to understand constraints around the research projects, and advise them on integrating research outcomes into product development. For senior profiles, we also expect you to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their growth in AI research methodologies.

• Knowledge sharing: Disseminate and present your research internally and at external forums, contributing to TechWolf's position as a thought leader in the AI and HR tech space.

We are looking for technical researchers at various levels of experience, from juniors eager to develop their research skills, to seniors capable of independently planning and executing research tracks. We expect all applicants to have familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn the full AI research lifecycle, including problem framing, execution, and publication.

For senior roles, we also expect significant experience, typically demonstrated by a PhD or equivalent practical experience, along with a proven ability to independently manage complex research projects and successfully publish impactful results.

Who you are:

• You have at least a masters degree in Computer Science or a related field with a strong focus on AI.

• You have excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.

• You are proficient in python and the deep learning stack (numpy, Pytorch, pandas, ...).

• You have demonstrated experience through successful completion of relevant projects (side projects, thesis,...).

• You're based in Belgium and excited to work together with the TechWolf team in our Ghent office at least three days per week.

Additional requirements for senior profiles:

• Proven track record of bridging the gap between real-world AI applications and academic research.

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML research, with a proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in academic journals.

• Demonstrated ability to provide technical mentorship.
