Your Impact
The HR Operation & Payroll Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing HR operational functions with a strong emphasis on payroll management across the Nordics, Benelux, and France regions. This role involves overseeing payroll, personnel administration, compliance, and supporting HR Officers and Office Managers to ensure seamless service delivery. By driving efficient payroll processes, maintaining compliance, and fostering a high-performing team, the role aims to deliver best-in-class support for employees and managers while aligning with the company’s overall HR strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR Officers and Office Managers, with a particular focus on payroll excellence and compliance.
- Monitor team performance, set clear objectives, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex payroll and HR operational issues, providing guidance and solutions.
Payroll Management
- Own the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll execution across multiple countries in compliance with local regulations.
- Manage payroll-related activities such as salary calculations, tax reporting, social contributions, and year-end processes.
- Collaborate with finance and external payroll providers to maintain accuracy and efficiency in payroll processing.
- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and maintain compliance.
- Stay updated on payroll legislation and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
HR Operations
- Oversee personnel administration, including employee data integrity, contract management, and adherence to legal requirements.
- Maintain and improve HR systems and tools, ensuring efficiency, data accuracy, and integration with payroll processes.
Compliance & Policy Implementation
- Ensure payroll and HR operations align with global and local policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external partners to optimize payroll services and ensure full compliance with tax and labor laws.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance payroll efficiency, streamline processes, and improve service quality.
- Lead or contribute to HR and payroll-related projects that support the company’s growth and transformation objectives.
About YOU
- Over 5 years of experience leading, mentoring, and developing diverse teams of HR professionals and operational staff, fostering accountability, excellence, and a culture of continuous improvement across regional and global functions.
- Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Expertise in managing end-to-end payroll processes, personnel administration, and employee data systems, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with local and international regulations.
- Skilled in managing travel, office operations, and car fleet logistics, driving cost efficiency and operational excellence while enhancing employee satisfaction.
- Fluent in Dutch, English and French.
- People Management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
